Assistant Principal over Attendance, Discipline & Facilities
Mr. Brad Hayes is beginning his 25th year in education. He has 16 years of administrative experience at all three levels of education. He worked 11 years in Walker County as a high school assistant principal, and an elementary school principal.He worked one year in administration with Dade County Middle and High School/Lookout Mountain Community Services. He has been an Assistant Principal at Northwest Georgia College & Career Academy/Phoenix High School for the last four years. Mr. Hayes started his educational career coaching and teaching six years at Gordon Central High School, and one year at Armuchee High School in Floyd County. He taught special education, Math, and Language Arts for three years at Eastbrook Middle School in Whitfield County.
Brad is married to the former Judy Swanson of Gordon County. Judy is an Special Education teacher at Trion Middle School. They have one son, Luke, a coach/teacher in Paulding County, Georgia. Another son, Jake, a freshman at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. The Hayes family reside in Trion, Georgia on a family farm. Brad is also a member of the Chattooga County School Board of Education. He is a part-time minister in the Northwest Georgia-Tennessee Valley area. Brad is proud to be part of the Whitfield County School family.
