Dr. Sunshine Narramore

Dear Westside Elementary Parents, Students, Staff, and Community,

My name is Sunshine Narramore and I am honored to be your child’s principal! I completed my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree at The University of West Georgia and my Doctorate in Education at Trevecca University.  I am a graduate of Whitfield County Schools and have spent my career investing back into the community that poured so much into me. I served as a teacher at New Hope Elementary for ten years and then moved to Eastside Elementary as a Literacy Coach for three years. I worked alongside Principal Tami Dodd as Westside’s Assistant Principal for four years, and just completed my second year as Westside’s Principal with Assistant Principal, Mrs. Lisa Gregg.

My vision for the school is simple: create a partnership with all stakeholders to propel academic, social, and emotional growth and build independent lifelong learners. I want our school to be a safe haven where every child feels loved, nurtured, encouraged, academically challenged, and successful. I want our families to see our heart and allow us to work hand-in-hand with them to meet the needs of their child. In addition, I want our staff to feel valued and respected by all stakeholders as they work relentlessly to ensure the success of every child.

Thank you for entrusting Westside Elementary with your child’s education. Together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish!

Respectfully,

Dr. Sunshine Narramore

Mrs. Lisa Gregg

My name is Lisa Gregg, and I am so excited to be your child’s assistant principal! I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at Shorter College, my two Master's Degrees at Berry College and Kennesaw State University, and a Specialist Degree at The University of West Georgia.   I also took numerous graduate courses at the University of Georgia.  I love to learn!   Like Dr. Narramore, I am also a product of Whitfield County Schools.  Go BRUINS!   My career in education started as a kindergarten teacher at Rockhill School.  Dawnville Elementary was my teaching home for the next ten years where I served as a special education teacher.  I was then offered the opportunity to serve at Cohutta Elementary as an Assistant Principal for two years. Westside Elementary has now been my home for the past two years.   So honored to be a part of the Westside family!
