Varnell's After School Care program is an extension of the school day that is both fun and educational. It is offered to Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Our ASC provides a balance between learning and fun through a variety of activities and engaging experiences. We provide students with a schedule that allots times for homework help, a healthy snack, physical activities, and creative expression.

Please be sure to complete both the ASC contract as well as the ASC information sheet before your child attends to ensure that we will be able to have the most up to date information needed to stay in contact. 

ASC Guidelines:

*After School Care is provided from 2:30-6:00 pm each school day.

*Prepay--The ASC program is a prepaid program and can be paid daily or weekly. The price is $8 per day.

      > Checkout with your credit/debit card

*Pick your child up by 6:00 pm, or promptly pay a late pick-up fee at the rate of $1 per minute, per child for each minute after 6:00 pm, according to the school’s clock.

*Assure that your child will be cooperative with all ASC staff members and will exhibit his/her best manners and behavior toward other students as well. Staying in ASC is a privilege, not a right. Our school rules apply to ASC, and if behavior problems occur, students may be suspended from ASC.

*Bring your photo ID, it is required by Whitfield County Schools for you to present your photo ID when you pick up your child.

Failure to comply with the above guidelines will result in your child being unable to participate in the program.

Behavior Expectations:

 Be respectful to other students and all ASC workers
 Keep hands and feet to yourself
 Follow all directions given by the ASC workers
 Use kind words
 Walk quietly in line when transitioning to a different activity
 Respect the rules of the cafeteria during snack time:
        Talk with a quiet voice
        Stay seated
        Clean up snack area before leaving the cafeteria
 Pick up after playing in the ASC room, or any room used in the school
 Respect the rules of the playground, for the safety of all students

All school behavior policies apply to the ASC program and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Your child is expected to behave in ASC just as they do in the classroom during the school day.
