Whitfield County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Ewton has been awarded the prestigious President’s Award by the Georgia School Superintendents Association (GSSA). The recognition was presented at the GSSA Spring Bootstrap Conference, held April 16–17 in Savannah, GA.
Scott Houston, Director of Federal Programs for Whitfield County Schools, has been selected to serve in two leadership roles aimed at strengthening educational programs that support students through various federal programs.
The Georgia Department of Education recognized three Whitfield County Schools as Title I Distinguished or Reward Schools for exceptional academic achievement or improvement. The Distinguished Schools designation recognizes the highest-performing Title I schools in Georgia, while the Reward Schools designation recognizes Title I schools making the most significant improvements.
