We just wanted to let everyone know the Kindergarten color days:
Updated Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, with information from Superintendent Judy Gilreath. In response to the August 21 solar eclipse impacting the north Georgia area, Whitfield County Schools will delay release of students by 30 minutes on that day. We recommend that parents who want to check their child out early on the day of the eclipse should do so between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. without attendance penalty.
During the next few weeks, parents of students who attend Title I schools get to learn more about their child’s education and share their ideas at their school’s annual Title I meeting. The purpose of the Title I annual parent meeting is to provide information to parents of participating children about the Title I program and their right to be involved in their child’s education. In Georgia, the GKIDS Readiness Check has been developed as an approach to thoughtfully measure the entry-level readiness skills of kindergarteners.
