  • Cedar Ridge Annual School Report Card

    In Georgia, the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) prepares Georgia’s State, Local, and School Annual Report Cards. The Annual Report Cards contain test results as well as other information relevant to school performance toward the goals of student achievement and school completion. The Report Card is in compliance with both state and federal laws with respect to reporting requirements. GOSA partners with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to produce the K-12 Public Schools Reports since much of the data comes from GaDOE.

  • Students Will Benefit from Library of Congress Training

    Students using the library next year at Cedar Ridge Elementary will have a who guide trained at the Library of Congress to support them. Media Specialist Tommye Mathis has been accepted to the 2018 Library of Congress Summer Institute. Each year, the Library of Congress provides the opportunity for selected K–12 educators to attend one of its Summer Teacher Institutes in Washington, D.C.

  • Title l Parent Meetings

    During the next few weeks, parents of students who attend Title l schools will have the opportunity to learn more about their child's education at their school's annual Title l meeting. The purpose of the Title l annual parent meeting is to provide information to parents of participating children about the Title l program and their right to be involved in their child's education.

    Whitfield County Schools is working to strengthen partnerships between schools and families. The purpose of this survey is to get your opinion on how well our schools have met your family and children’s needs and how you feel about your involvement in your child’s school. The survey will be available until Friday, September 28, 2018.

  • Whitfield Education Foundation donates $62,000 to Whitfield County teachers

    The Whitfield Education Foundation presented 35 teachers with Innovative Teaching Grants, totaling $62,000. Recipients of this grant will be able to implement various programs in their classrooms, schools and throughout the community.
