  • Summer Nutrition & Power Lunch Sites

    Beginning Monday, June 1, Whitfield County Schools will provide summer meals at no cost to all children 18 and younger. Meals are served Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., depending on the site. For more information, please click the link above.

  • The Families First Coronavirus Act (FFCRA)

    The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19.   • Elementary School Testing Calendar

    Please click the link above to view the Elementary School Testing Calendar. The purposes of the Georgia Student Assessment Program are to: measure student achievement of the state mandated curriculum, identify students failing to achieve mastery of content, provide teachers with diagnostic information, and assist school systems in identifying strengths and weaknesses in order to establish priorities in planning educational programs.

  • Cedar Ridge Annual School Report Card

    The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) prepares Georgia’s State, Local, and School Annual Report Cards. The Annual Report Cards contain test results as well as other information relevant to school performance toward the goals of student achievement and school completion. The Report Card is in compliance with both state and federal laws with respect to reporting requirements. GOSA partners with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to produce the K-12 Public Schools Reports since much of the data comes from GaDOE.

  • Georgia Department of Education Testing Survey

    The Georgia Department of Education is seeking feedback on Georgia’s request for a waiver that would eliminate high-stakes testing for the 2020-21 school year. The Every Student Succeeds Act requires that the public and any interested school districts have an opportunity to comment and provide input on all waiver requests. State School Superintendent and the Georgia Department of Education are urging anyone interested in the future of Georgia's public education system to complete the survey using the link above before Friday, July 10 at 11:59 p.m.

  • Public School Choice

    Georgia Law allows parents to request a transfer of enrollment to another public school within their local school district if that school has available seats. The district will accept transfer requests for the 2020-21 school year from June 29 through July 9, 2020.     The Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Public Broadcasting are launching “Getting Ready” guides to help parents of the youngest learners prepare for the upcoming school year. These guides are designed to provide a simple way to keep the learning going over the summer and explore skills that will prepare a student for the school year ahead.
