The Coahulla Creek FFA Chapter was established in 2014 as a new Agricultural Education program in Whitfield County Schools advised by Mrs Ginger (Bushey) Jarjoura, under the administration of Dr. Stan Stewart and Mrs. Sonya Planzer. Since that time the FFA Chapter has grown in membership, career development, and community outreach. The first FFA Officer Team was lead by Seth Cox, Presley Sutton, Taylor Newsome, and Courtney Blevins. There have been a total of 5 officer teams elected, 5 state qualifying Career Development Event (CDE) teams, 4 state Agriscience Fair exhibits, and two State FFA Degree recipients. In 2015 Meredith Barber received first place honors in Junior Dairy Cattle Evaluation at the State CDE, and maintained a top 10 finish her Junior and Senior years as well. In 2017 the first student to receive the Georgia State FFA Degree from Coahulla Creek was Ms Brianna Hill. In 2018 the Coahulla Creek Agricultural Communications team placed 2nd in the State and Meredith Barber, the FFA Chapter President was recognized with a $2,000 National FFA Scholarship.
