Mrs. Lezlie Harris
Hello, Cohutta! I am Lezlie Harris, the principal. I feel truly blessed to be at Cohutta Elementary. I am so excited to work with a staff that truly cares about the students, works daily to create a warm and welcoming learning environment and builds relationships with our families.
Since some of you may not know me, let me introduce myself. I am a mother of four grown children, two boys and two girls. All of them graduated from Northwest High School. I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, Advanced Content Math, and ALPHA for grades 1st through 5th.
As a parent, I valued the partnership between the school and me. As an educator, I still value that partnership. At Cohutta, we believe that parents play an important role in the education of their children.
The Cohutta community also has a long history of partnering with the school. On behalf of the students and teachers, I want to thank the Cohutta community and ask them to continue their support.

Ms. Lauren Patterson
Hi,
I am Lauren Patterson. I serve at Cohutta Elementary in the following roles: Part-time Assistant Principal, Part-time Early Intervention Program (EIP) Teacher, and Full-time CES parent.
A little bit about myself: I was born in Dalton and raised in Chatsworth. The beautiful mountains of Northwest Georgia have my heart. I have a son and two stepdaughters. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. Professionally speaking, I am in my second decade of teaching. I have worked with students in kindergarten through fifth, sixth, and eighth grades as a special education teacher. I also taught for a few years as a third-grade regular education teacher.
As an educator, I believe that all children are capable of learning and deserve the best schooling experience we can provide them. In my various roles, I will do my best to support students, teachers, and parents to help our children be successful. One way includes maintaining open communication between home and school, and I am available to listen to any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have. It is my hope that we can form a strong partnership that benefits all our CES students and their families. Thank you for your support, and most importantly, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your children’s lives.
