On behalf of the staff at Cohutta Elementary, I'd like to express how excited we are to be charged with educating your children. Cohutta is a wonderful school, and I know how much effort our staff members put into building relationships with our students and their families in order to help our students grow academically.

I am very excited to continue my journey as principal here. I began here as a teacher in 1999, and it's been amazing to see the school and community evolve through the years. I'm proud to say all three of my students began their school careers here as kindergarten students, and the staff members here helped lay a firm academic foundation that serves them well each day. I know this holds true for all of our students because the staff members here treat our students as if they are their own and that relationship makes all the difference.

Know that our doors are always open to parents and community members, and we welcome your thoughts, questions, and feedback. We know that by working together we can continue to keep Cohutta a place where amazing happens!

Mrs. Lisa Gregg

I am so excited to be a part of the Cohutta Elementary family and having the opportunity to meet you and your wonderful children.   I cannot express how much I enjoy being a part of this great community of parents, students, and staff.

I am a native of Dalton and attended Whitfield County Schools (Pleasant Grove, NWMS, and NWHS).   My husband, Stephen Gregg, is a teacher and the radio voice of the NWHS Bruins.   I am the proud mom of Thomas (10th grader) and Nellie (7th grader).    For fun, I LOVE to read and sing.   You might catch me singing classical music with Voices Night Out or bluegrass with the Gobblers Knob String Band.

Before beginning at Cohutta, I spent ten years at Dawnville Elementary as the lead special education teacher.  Prior to that I was a stay at home mom, private voice teacher, and the testing coordinator at Dalton State College.   I am currently working on a degree in educational leadership.

As a parent, I understand how important communication is to you.  With that being said, know that I want you to always feel welcome to contact me if I can ever be of any assistance to you.  This school would not have been successful over these many years if it hadn't been for the involvement of the Cohutta community, of which I am so happy to now be a part.

It's great to be a Cohutta Bulldog!!!
