    At Pleasant Grove Elementary, we teach the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) using Whitfield County Schools (WCS) curriculum frameworks and resources. To learn more about the standards, please click the link, choose your content area at the bottom of the page, and then find the grade levels listed to the left.     Student orators display their public speaking skills at the 2023 District Civic Oration Competition

    Elementary and middle schools across Whitfield County offered students an opportunity to develop skills in public speaking by competing in school-level civic oration competitions.     The Georgia Department of Education honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life through the Georgia Scholar program. Kennedy Hughes and Liam Roche from Coahulla Creek High School and Rylei Brown, David Minter and Nathan Torbett from Northwest Whitfield High School are among the 154 graduating seniors named 2023 Georgia Scholars.   •  STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition)

    WCS recognizes its 2023 STAR Students and Teachers

    Whitfield County Schools is proud to recognize its 2023 STAR Students and Teachers. To qualify for the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR), high school seniors must have the highest score on the SAT and be in the top 10 percent of their class.
