Northwest Whitfield High School senior Lexi Lyon has been chosen as one of the 69 exceptional Georgia students to participate in State School Superintendent Ricard Woods’ prestigious 2023-2024 Student Advisory Council.

Knowing the fundamental importance of early literacy and students’ ability to read proficiently by third grade, the Georgia Department of Education is recognizing schools with exceptional achievement or growth in third-grade reading as 2022-2023 Literacy Leaders.

Whitfield County Schools is pleased to announce Coahulla Creek High School senior Grayson Sneed is a Semifinalist in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) Program. Sneed is one of approximately 16,000 seniors across the nation to be named a Semifinalist in the 69th annual NMSC Program.
